Accommodation Facilities

Nantong is located in the alluvial plain of the lower reaches of the Yangtze  River. The marine climate is obvious. The annual average temperature is 15.1 degrees centigrade and the annual precipitation is about 1040 millimeters. The climate is mild, the four seasons are distinct, and the spring and autumn are relatively short.

Nantong belongs to the humid climate area of the north subtropical zone. The influence of monsoon is obvious. There are four distinct seasons in Nantong, with mild climate, abundant sunshine and rainwater, and long frost-free period. According to the statistics of the last 30 years, the annual average temperature is about 15 degrees Celsius, the annual average sunshine hours are 2000-2200 hours, the annual average precipitation is 1000-1100 mm, and the summer rainfall accounts for 40-50% of the annual rainfall in the same season. The average annual period of rainy day is about 120 days, and there is often a period of plum rain from June to July.

School of International Education has been set up in full charge of international students and all the related foreign affairs. International students enjoy the colorful life in Nantong University and in China, which also enriches the campus culture and promotes cultural communication and cooperation between China and foreign countries.

Canteen Facilities

Nantong University provide a variety of foods to cater international students. On campus you will find a number of places to get food and drink and meet with friends. From canteens to restaurants to quick cafeteria shops, we hope you will find a place to cater for your needs.

If you end up choosing to live in Pine Park or Lotus Park, you will find there are India restaurants for international students in your accommodation building. They are run by chefs from India, and serving typical Indian foods with original India flavor.

International students also can cook by themselves if the foods served on all campus are not satisfactory. There are small kitchens in accommodation buildings with simple facilities, where students can reward self with their own delicious food.

Students can use their Campus Card to pay for all meals as well as other items they need on campus.
