On-Campus Hostel

Sichuan University supplies overseas students with comfortable and enjoyable accommodation. In all the three campuses, there are hotel-style international students’ hostels. International student office also arranges full-time staff to help the office manage the accommodation work in order to solve the related affairs of international students in time. There are three room types for international students to choose: 1, double room with separate toilet and separate bathroom, 2, double room without separate toilet and separate bathroom, 3, single room with separate toilet and separate bathroom.

For the international student who chooses the double room, the roommate could be assigned by the university or chosen by the international student after reaching the university. All the rooms are furnitured with air-conditioning, telephone, color TV and internet access. There are rules and regulations for accommodation, students shall read carefully after reaching the university. 

Off-Campus Accommodation

Sichuan University also allows international students to choose off-campus accommodation. According to the Rules for the Implementation of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Control of the Entry and Exit of Foreigners, every foreign student who lives off-campus should register to the local police station in 24 hours after arrival. 

Sichuan University attaches great importance to international education. Sichuan University has been authorized by the Ministry of Education, P.R China to enroll international students for the English-medium programs. Now there are 1448 international students studying and enjoying their live in Sichuan University.

With more than 100 established partnerships with universities worldwide, Sichuan University places a high value on international cooperation. The University’s global engagements have been increasing rapidly in recent years. One of the University’s goals is to facilitate an international education experience for all Sichuan University students, whether via setting up students exchange programs, summer programs with international partner universities or creating inter-cultural exchanges opportunities and experiences on campus.
