Shaanxi Normal University

Shaanxi Normal University (SXNU), established in 1958, is a respected institution located in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. It is a provincial university known for its academic excellence and comprehensive programs. SXNU has a diverse structure, comprising 22 different schools that offer a wide range of programs. The university provides 61 undergraduate programs, 23 graduate disciplines, 2 doctoral disciplines, and also has 2 post-doctoral research stations. Currently, it supports 16,669 undergraduate students and 3,550 graduate students, guided by a dedicated faculty of 1,284 full-time lecturers. Among its teaching staff, ten have received national academic awards, and eighty-eight have been honored with provincial academic awards.

SXNU is dedicated to developing a global perspective, actively collaborating with over 50 universities and research institutions worldwide. The university has over two decades of experience hosting international students, fostering a multicultural learning environment. Master’s

2. Application Documents: Passport copy, diploma, transcripts, HSK or English proficiency test score, study/research plan, and two recommendation letters.
3. Online Application: Apply via SNNU’s admissions portal or CISS.

5. Review Process: SNNU conducts a preliminary review and may interview candidates or require additional materials.
6. Admission Notice: An admission letter and visa documents are issued upon acceptance.

PhD
1. Eligibility: Master’s degree in a relevant field, proven research capability, and language proficiency (HSK level 5+ for Chinese-taught programs or relevant English proficiency for English-taught programs).
